
Abdullah Makhdum is a young Afghan entrepreneur and professional with diverse experience across national and international organizations in Afghanistan. Having lived as a refugee for over a decade, Abdullah returned to Afghanistan with a mission: to create positive change through innovation, leadership, and service. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of the People, a U.S.-based university, and has since led and contributed to multiple impactful projects and startups.
Abdullah is the founder of several startups in Afghanistan, including Doctoristan (Towards a Healthy Afghanistan) and Asan ICT (Shaping a Digital Afghanistan). His work spans across sectors such as healthcare, technology, education, employment, e-commerce, and graphic and web design. While some of his initiatives were stopped after the Afghan government regime changed back in August 2021 such as Hamaroz, Jobistan, Scholarships Center, and Asan Online Services, but his passion for rebuilding and empowering communities remains strong.
Abdullah’s belief in the power of positive community experiences led him to support a d contribute as an Advisor in Afghanistan Snowboarding Organization. He sees snowboarding not just as a sport, but as a medium to inspire youth, build resilience, foster hope, create space for peacebuilding and personal growth.
His enthusiasm for adventure—alongside his interests in skateboarding, cricket, swimming, and creative collaboration—mirrors the spirit of the snowboarding movement in Afghanistan.
