Afghanistan Snowboard

OUR MISSION:
Afghanistan Snowboard is an independent, nonprofit, and government-recognized organization dedicated to advancing snowboarding across Afghanistan. Since our founding in 2017, we have worked to promote the sport as a platform for youth empowerment, social inclusion, and national pride. We aim to inspire the next generation of Afghan athletes while fostering a sense of peace, unity, and opportunity through winter sports.

OUR VISION:
Our vision is to establish Afghanistan as a thriving hub for snowboarding in the region and beyond. We believe in using sport to reflect the strength, resilience, and beauty of Afghan society. Through meaningful programs and international partnerships, we aspire to represent a peaceful and hopeful image of Afghanistan to the world—one built on youth leadership, gender equality, and positive community transformation.

Our Goals

To show a new and peaceful face of Afghanistan to the world through the sport of snowboarding.
To create equal opportunities for athletes—regardless of gender or background—to compete and grow.
To promote women’s participation in snowboarding, supporting their voices and visibility in society.
To develop national and international-level training programs, competitions, and camps.
To build strong relationships between Afghan athletes and global peers through collaboration and cultural exchange.
To advocate for youth involvement in healthy lifestyles and help prevent drug use and social isolation.
To acquire advanced training equipment and facilities to support athlete development.
To be a unifying voice for peace, resilience, and national pride through sport.

Our Achievements

Official membership in the World Snowboard Federation and recognition by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS).
Endorsed and supported by the Afghanistan Olympic Committee and the Afghanistan Ski Federation.
Historic representation of Afghanistan in the Winter Asian Games (2025).
Launch of nationwide programs that have positively impacted hundreds of Afghan youth.
Pioneering the growth of winter sports in a country where such opportunities were once thought impossible.
